Our Story
ProjectBoard began as a simple bluesky idea to create a virtual space for STEM minds to share projects and solve problems. With the onset of COVID-19, the STEM community reached out to use the platform to host their STEM Events & Student Fairs. For them, ProjectBoard provided the best way to document and showcase student work and have meaningful engagement with the students, parents, teachers and sponsors.
In addition to major STEM fairs like ISEF & CWSF,
ProjectBoard is as much about collaboration and engagement through the project process. And because of that, ProjectBoard supports Corporations, Maker Organizations, Education and others that need a place document and share projects online.
Meet the Founders
Lauren Baldesarra
Co-Founder,
Head of Product
Lauren has spent the last 15 years designing physical and online experiences for families and youth.
Prior to ProjectBoard, Lauren was a Walt Disney Imagineer in LA for 7 years, producing projects including Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and EPCOT Master Planning. She also founded Disney's Moonshot initiative, leading teams to dream up big ideas for massive change.
Lauren has a BFA in Communications Design from Syracuse University, and most importantly, is the chauffeur to her two little humans that make everything worthwhile.
Frank Baldesarra
Co-Founder,
Executive Chairman
Frank has 35 years experience leading businesses that provide products and services that improve innovation and productivity for Engineers globally.
In 1985, he co-founded RAND Word Wide and as President and COO, RAND operated as a publicly traded company, employing over 1600 globally, with revenues of $500M.
Frank has invested in and led various companies like engineering.com, a digital publication platform, Eng Tips the world’s leading engineering forum and Vecture Inc., a green energy company.
